Former National Treasurer of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mrs. Joyce Oduah, FICMC took her message of felicitations to the leadership and members of the NBA in Maiduguri, Biu and Damaturu branches in Borno state a step further as she physically attended the activities marking their Law week.
In a highly commendable move, that reflects her sterling qualities, especially her ability to sacrifice her personal interests for the collective good, Mrs. Oduah, took out time to travel to the troubled North East state to celebrate with members of the Bar in Borno state last Thursday and commended them for not only showing bravery and strength of character in staying to practice in the state, despite incessant terrorist attacks, but also staying committed to the propagation, promotion and protection of the rule of law.

In her goodwill message at the Annual Bar Dinner, she condoled the government and good people of Borno state over the terrorist attacks on innocent citizens in Auno and Polo. She prayed the Almighty to give the people of the state, especially those who lost their love ones in the serial blasts, the fortitude to bear their loss.
Mrs. Oduah who was given the Kanuri name; Bawa Ngwali, translated to mean Princess, by the elders of the Bar, thanked the leadership of the NBA in the state, especially the Chairmen of Maiduguri, Biu and Damaturu, past Chair, Maiduguri, Secretaries of Maiduguri and Biu, NEC Reps of all the branches, leadership of the Young Lawyers Forum in the state, the indefectible Chairman of NBA, Bauchi and all members the NBA in the state for the hospitality and gifts they showered on her, stating that their expression of love towards her reflected the fraternal love that is the culture of the Bar.
