In the suit, FHC/ABJ/CS/77/22 Incorporated Trustees of The Nigerian Bar Association Vs Attorney General of Federation [AGF], the Federal High Court has held that the supposed amendment of the Rules of Professional Conduct (RPC) for legal practitioners by the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami last year is wrong and illegal.
Ruling in favour of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the Court dismissed the preliminary objection by the AGF and maintained that the General Council of the Bar has many members who should be involved in the process of amending the RPC.
