Nobody wears success, rare intellectual pedigree and exceptional professional excellence with the humility with which you do. Silence is golden when one can rely on abundant actions to speak volumes. In the absence of great deeds, recourse is had to noise. This, I believe, is why you’re a man of few words. You’ve etched your name permanently in the annals of this profession. There are only a few ways by which mere mortals may annex immortality and you’ve totally secured it. And looking at your trajectory, it’d appear that what, in the lives of many, would pass them off securely as over-achievers is in your case, only a tease of greater strides to come. We celebrate you today not because you’re a glutton for peer popularity or the worshipful reverence of fellow mortals. No. We celebrate you to register with you, for what it’s worth, that humanity appreciates what you do. And to ignite in ourselves such missionary zeal as is in you, that, like you, we, “passing through the valley of Bacca, make it a well!”(Psalm 84:6KJV).
Happy birthday, Dr. Babatunde Ajibade, SAN! Here’s to staying the course and remaining true to self. May God bless you and keep you. May He cause the light of His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He lift up His countenance upon you and give you His peace!
