The Nigerian Bar Association, Udu Branch held its Annual General Meeting on Sunday the 21st day of June, 2020; election of new Officers of the Branch was also conducted on the same day.
Election was conducted only into the Positions of the Chairman and the Secretary while other Positions were returned unopposed.
After the close of voting in a keenly contested Election, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Mr. Ama Etuwewe, (SAN) declared the results of the election as follows:
CHAIRMAN

- PATRICK MEKAKO, ESQ. 48 Votes (Elected) SECRETARY
- MOSES E. O. SEGBA, ESQ. 44 Votes
- PETER T. DAUBRY, ESQ. 47 Votes (Elected) Other Officers were elected and returned unopposed
The Oath of Office was administered on the newly elected Officers by Mr. Ayo Asala, (SAN). The names of the newly elected Officers to pilot the affairs of the Branch from June 2020 – June 2022 are:

According to the report signed by the new Publicity Secretary, Austin Nyekigbe, Esq, the branch also adopted some candidates for the forthcoming NBA national elections. The report reads in part:
In the course of the Annual General Meeting, the Branch endorsed and adopted OLUMIDE AKPATA, ESQ. as the sole candidate for the office of the President of the NBA, JOHN OBAIKA AIKPOKPO-MARTINS, ESQ. for the office of the 1st Vice President of the NBA and OGHENEOVO OLUKUNLE EDUN, ESQ., the present National Publicity Secretary of the NBA, for the office of the National Welfare Secretary of the NBA in the 2020 elections.
