Pheonah has emerged the President of the Uganda Law Society in an election held on Saturday garnering a total vote of 441 against her closest opponent Mr Oundo who got 427 votes, Courtroom Mail reports.

Wall will be the second female to lead the association after Ruth Sebatindira.

Five candidates contested for the position of President with the two other contestants scoring 239, 212 and 47.

The election is historic as women clinched the top positions in the election including the offices of Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
