On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, the Supreme Court in Lusaka held a Valedictory Session to pay tribute to the late Mr. Norman Sampa, a distinguished Senior Advocate who passed away unexpectedly, last week Thursday.

The solemn gathering brought together esteemed members of the legal fraternity, including High Court Judges Hon. Lady Justice Chilombo Bridget Maka, Hon. Mrs. Justice Sharon Kunda Newa, and Hon. Mrs. Justice Ruth Hachitapika Chibbabbuka. Also in attendance was the Solicitor General Mr. Marshal Muchende SC, the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) President Mr. Lungisani Zulu, State Counsels, Senior Members of the Bar, and Mr. Sampa’s former classmates.

During the session, the Law Association of Zambia President expressed pride in the legacy left by Mr. Sampa, describing him as a true teacher of the law who remained humble and dedicated to the well-being of those around him. Mr. Zulu highlighted Mr. Sampa’s expertise in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and emphasized that his absence will be deeply felt within the legal community.

May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
